Common Vaccine Questions

Your safety is our priority

All vaccines administered in the U.S. undergo a rigorous review by the FDA for efficacy and safety. We are also required to provide a Vaccine Information Statement (VIS) before administration.

Common side effects are typically mild and temporary, such as soreness or redness at the injection site, headache, fatigue, or chills. Serious reactions, like anaphylaxis, are extremely rare (less than 1 in a million doses for vaccines like Influenza). Our pharmacists are prepared to manage all reactions, and we keep epinephrine (e.g., Epipen) on site as required.

While vaccines are safe for most, some contraindications exist based on factors like age, allergies (e.g., to eggs for some flu shots), pregnancy, previous severe reactions, or a weakened immune system. Our pharmacists will screen you prior to administration to ensure your safety.
